Fun in the Sun

Do you see that bit of yellow? That was poor Pooh buoy almost mangled by little boys and girls having fun in the pool!

This was taken last week when our work department had our summer outing that almost turned to a kids' party. :)

If you wish to see lots of yellow, come and visit Mellow Yellow Monday!

Bloghopping on a Red Tuesday!

Red thoughts...

"When in doubt wear red." --Bill Blass

"Red is the ultimate cure for sadness." --Bill Blass

"Red is obviously such a stimulating color, and it has so many connotations." --P. J. Harvey

"Red is a colour I've felt very strongly about. Maybe red is a very Indian colour, maybe it's one of those things that I grew up with and recognise at some other level." --Anish Kapoor

"Red, of course, is the colour of the interior of our bodies. In a way it's inside out, red." --Anish Kapoor

"The true color of life is the color of the body, the color of the covered red, the implicit and not explicit red of the living heart and the pulses. It is the modest color of the unpublished blood." --Alice Meynell

Happy Tuesday!

or

"What a horrible thing yellow is." --Edgar Degas

So which is it for you?

Funny thing how one thing differs from one's view to another and becomes so many things...

Loboc River Cruise

The Loboc River is one of the best tourist attraction in Bohol, Philippines. I haven't been here but a good friend of mine shared this beautiful picture she has taken of this famous river only this summer. It looked so romantic! Maybe Teddy and I would come here one day...I thought of the song Moon River by Johnny Mercer (lyrics) and Henry Mancini (music) and as I was googling this song, I came across a photography blog called MOON RIVER. You can come and check it out!

...oops! Lunchbreak almost up!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed skywatching with me! Have a great weekend!

Contentment

Teddy on his way home from Cagayan Valley

“There is no end of craving. Hence contentment alone is the best way to happiness. Therefore, acquire contentment.”-- Indian proverb

But does the human heart ever find it? We look for it, elusive and undefined, in almost every nook and cranny of our lives.

If contentment means being happy with what we have,  does it mean we have to be ambitionless to be content?

Qoute of the Day:

True contentment depends not upon what we have; a tub was large enough for Diogenes, but a world was too little for Alexander.

"We anoint their fuses with a tiny amount of fire, and they come alive, playing out their life span in a matter or seconds.  In those few seconds a crack in the universe is opened, giving us a glimpse of the energy locked within all matter."

Addendum: this is for my Wordless Wednesday, too!

Skywatching as I wait

As I wait for my shuttle to work this morning, I looked up and saw these electrical/phone lines hampering my view.

Cloudy skies today.  That's downtown Calamba City, here in Laguna. Election campaign is in full blast beginning Feb 10 until May 8. All possible corners, trees, posts, nooks and crannies are full of candidates' billboards.

Happy weekend, everyone!

For more skies, find it here!

The devastation caused by the intensity 7 earthquake in Haiti has reverberated its plea for help across the world.

In my own puny little way, I want to share to you how to extend help to them. Click on the badge on how to participate. If I can propagate Haiti's call through "word of blog", then I will.

A walk down the aisle

From This Day Forward

From this day forward,
You shall not walk alone.
My heart will be your shelter,
And my arms will be your home.
