    Friday Confessional

    Can you keep a secret? If you do, come and join Glamazon Mormon Mom with her Friday Confessions.

    I must confess:

    • I got a mountain of laundry..and I'm too lazy tired to do it
    • Teddy won't help in the household chores ( I really want to hit him!)
    • I'm afraid of rejection, or being rejected.
    • I hate nagdadabog or people throwing tantrums. (Though I don't react too much outwardly, but in my mind I'm already punching them in the face!!!)
    • I freak out inside every time I come and find the bathroom dirty.
    • Really, sometimes I want to throw things so I can put my point across!
    • I think I'm a control freak.
    • I like sexy lingerie with lots of lace.
    • An ex is calling me, after so long
    • sometimes I'm tempted to encourage this ex
    • But I won't. I don't want anymore headaches.
    • I'm getting a local hilot to put put my retroverted uterus right
    • I want a baby this year, married or not

    Muahhhhhhhh!

    Who would think I could write like them?

    I found something on the net and is surely fun. Try this out!

    I write like
    Stephen King
    I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

    I'm not so surprised if I could write like Stephen King because I love his books  and has read The Shining, Insomnia, Needful Things and The Green Mile.

    I write like
    Arthur C. Clarke
    I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

    ...and who would think I'd write like science fiction writer Arthur C Clark! Though I love science fiction, too, but I'm more of a Tom Clancy and Robert Heinlein reader. I looked up Arthur C Clark's work and it is pretty extensive and a must check!

    I write like
    Rudyard Kipling
    I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

    Do you know Mowgli of "The Jungle Book" ? This book is just so amazing and must-read of everyone ( kids and the kids-at-heart ::wink::)

    An excerpt from my favorite Kipling poem If:
    If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
    And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breath a word about your loss;
    If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
    To serve your turn long after they are gone,
    And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
    ~~~x~~~
    Read not to contradict and confute; nor to believe and take for granted;
    nor to find talk and discourse; but to weigh and consider.
    Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed,
    and some few to be chewed and digested:
    that is, some books are to be read only in parts,
    others to be read, but not curiously, and some few
    to be read wholly, and with diligence and attention.
    Erase that.
    It's just that sometimes, reality nudges you out of  your comfort zone and you think, what did I miss? And you look this way and that...
    OK.
    I'll just rant on a separate post, I guess.
    Am you ready to be a foster parent yet?
    I was checking out my mail today and I received a forwarded message from Paula that the twitterer will be needing a foster parent soon!
    I was so... amazed by this news, I almost clicked this in my spam bin! Imagine a PR3 blog such as the twitterer will be given away! But mind you, Mommy Gee  is looking for a good home for  the twitterer.
    If you want to be  a candidate for parenthood, just write a post on what would you do if you get a PR3 blog for free?
    If I can get a PR3 blog for free, I'm going to love, love, love this gift!  I will work on it with lots of quality content and provide good readership by pouring my heart out into it...
    Maybe you'll ask me if I'm raising my hand now to volunteer fostering the twitterer.
    My answer is NO.
    Because I don't know if I can do justice to it's rank. It is PR3. And to a lot of bloggers, this is very important.  And I don't know if I have the powers to keep it that way!  I'm still a noob. And I think the twitterer is such a great responsibility. Wah! Maybe, in the future, if I can give a huge chunk of my time to my online activities (if I'm not an 8-to-5'er anymore).
    But I'm cordially inviting every one of my blogger friends and readers to consider adopting the twitterer. Just go over At Home With Georyl for more information on how to join this contest!
    1st Blog Bash 2010
    People call me Rowena. A rather common name, don't you think? Though I try not to be as ordinary!  :) So I refer to myself here in the blogosphere as Fickle.
    I'm a thirtyish single lady, working in an accounting office of an electronic company here in the southern part of Luzon, Philippines. I like nature trips (check here  to see some) and sometimes going with friends to the bar could be pretty cool.
    I tend to peoplewatch most of the time. You can bribe me with chocolates for anything! I love reading books, though I haven't tried any book posts yet. Maybe soon.
    1.) Why do you blog?
    I blog because I love to write That's a given already. I blog because finally, I have found a place where I can be ME.ALL.THE.TIME. Others thought I'm aloof. Taciturn.  I can talk about the weather, I can listen to someone rant and rave for hours, I can talk about the one million and one mundane things, but I seldom TALK to just anyone. You know what I mean...
    I can be free here because I know I won't be judged too harshly. Sometimes a kind or encouraging  word from a commenter could help change how I see and treat things.
    2.) What do you blog about?  At first I thought I could have a doppelganger of me here. You know, the evil, darker side? But as I've read the words of my commenters, some of them funny, some serious, but just the same -- all thoughtful, and as my followers grew, I kind of become inclined to speak about the lighter ( though most of the time, serious)  side of anything and everything.
    3.) What do you find to be the biggest reward you get from blogging? This has become my de-stressor. It kind of relaxes me. It's good (and healthy, I think) to see things at a different point of view.  This is a great place to gather my thoughts into coherent words.
    4.) How long have you been blogging? I tested the blogging waters in late 2008. Too late for a thirty-something full of random thoughts and observation woman!
    5.) Let's hear the story behind your blog title! :) Hmmm. The deal behind Fickleinpink, the dark side? I wanted this to be  about someone who could get her way every time most of the time, who changes her mind as she please  (very much different from the actual me ::wink:: ) so I thought fickle is very apt.  "inpink" to give it a femme flair, add a little rebellious streak (hence, the dark side) here and there and voila! Welcome to the world of -----
    BB cream craze: three Dr. Jart freebies to be given away
    Now that I'm thirtyish (won't tell what range of 30 I'm in :D ), I can see fine lines now and freckles age spots here and there. Now this something that I truly wish to have -- Dr. Jart's BB Cream (specifically DR. JART+ BLACK LABEL DETOX HEALING BLEMISH BASE BB CREAM)!
    This will be perfect for me as I have combination skin (normal that runs on dry during cold weather) so I can't survive without moisturizer and recently I include sunblock in my beauty routine.
    So I'm so glad Ajay at Ajay's Writing on the Wall is hosting Dr. Jart's BB Cream Giveaway
    where three (3) lucky winners will get a tube each of Dr. Jart's BB cream!
    Let me be one of the three! And you could be the other two! Just go over at Ajay's Writing on the Wall to get the rules of this giveaway!
    The Queen's Meme #44 ~ The Firsts Meme
    Welcome to The Queens's Meme #44 ~
    The Firsts Meme
    (a totally random and useless meme about firsts)
    1. When you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was the first thing you thought? Is that me already?
    2. Where did you go on the very first vacation of your life? I don't remember any trips that resembles a "vacation". Vacation means AWAY from work, right?
    3. Open the door of your refrigerator. What is the first thing you see? Fudgee Bar?
    4. Tell us about your first kiss OR your last first date. The last first date: It was sometime I think in February 2009. It was a Saturday and we were coming from the office. He just said, "Come with me."  I should have seen RED alert in big letters, but I said, "ok". We went to this quaint little bar with cheap beer and uncrowded ambiance and talked the night away! And so it became "us" since.
    5. If you had wings to fly about the universe, where is the first place you'd land?  I'd probably fly around to check if there are really other lifeforms, or to know how it feels to be sucked in a blackhole!
    6. What is the first thing you do when you get in your car? fasten my seatbelt...
    7. What is the first thing you ever said to your firstborn? No opportunity yet, but if I ever have (i hope this year or early next) the chance to say something, I think it might be that life has come full circle? or I might become speechless?
    8. What is the last thing you heard about your first love? I heard he was in Germany on the road to divorce.
    9. If you had created the world in seven days yourself, what would you have created on the First Day? Nothing. I think God did right the first time!
    10. What is the first song in your IPOD or song list? Live and Let Die by Guns 'n Roses
    11. What is the first tangible thing you lost that you could never find again? I don't know. But who's to say who lost, or gained what? Most things evolve, what you lost today might be gained back tomorrow in another form.
    12. Who is your favorite First Lady of all time? Imelda Marcos. It's not the shoes (more than 2000? ) , or the extravagant jewelry collection, but the affluence in the midst of  high political heat.
    13. Post a link to your first blog post. SOME THINGS that you don’t REALLY FORGET
    14. When was the last time you needed FirstAid? I can't think of any instance...
    15. Can you explain what a first down is in football? Huh?
